Passionate Past Times
I decided to give an update on three things that are part of my life that contribute to my health, wellness and happiness.
1. I got the nod on Wednesday that I will be testing for my next belt in TKD. I’m getting stronger and have passed the goal of getting a yellow belt someday. Orange belt test is May 20th.
2. We are harvesting lettuce, spinach, radishes and green onions from the garden. I love the first salads from the garden. What better way to feel good about what you eat than to go outside, pick the veggies and have salad for dinner. Gives a whole new meaning to picking up a salad.
3. Sewing is a passion that keeps me busy, joyfully. Two years of retirement has included lots of sewing projects- grandkids projects, quilt for the hubby and lots of aprons. I even made a quilted case for Amber and I to carry our essential oils in our purse or on a trip. These can carry 8 oils or 4 if you want to fold it over. I’m thinking about making a few smaller ones too.
They say you’re more busy in retirement. I’m busy doing all the things I love. Sure hope you can make time for something you really enjoy.
